How to Cancel my Virgin Media contract?

1. Cancellation fee if you leave within your contract period

Depending on your particular bundle, typically the minimum fixed term contract periods is 9, 12 or 18 months. If you leave within your minimum contract period, there is a chance you will be charged any outstanding line rental or monthly charges till the end of your contract. If you decide to cancel after your minimum fixed-term contract period or are on a 30-day rolling contract, you would only need to give Virgin Media 30 days’ notice.

2. Returning your Virgin Media Kit

When a kit is provided with a Virgin Media service (whether broadband, phone or TV), this kit is to be returned when you disconnect or change your Virgin Media service.

3.Virgin Media Mail service

Be sure to save any important contacts, emails and files you wish to keep. Once the cancellation is made, you will be given 90 days access to your Virgin Media Mail service before it is closed.

4. You may receive a refund

If you pay for your service in advance, you may be eligible for a refund on services you did not use. Any TV or phone service used since your last bill will be taken into consideration before a refund is calculated and made to your account.

A refund due is made via cheque 35 days after your account closes.
