One-Step Guide to Cancelling Postcode Lottery
It’s always a good idea to review your spending and subscriptions when you’re trying to get on top of your finances. In this post, we’ll tell you how to cancel your postcode lottery subscription and save those dollar bills!
What is the postcode lottery and how does it work?
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery service that raises money for charities. Players are charged £10 a month and are automatically entered into draws on Monday, Saturday, Sunday and a final separate monthly draw.
What are your chances of winning?
There are five different draws for the postcode lottery, of £10, £20, £1,000, £30,000 or £3,000,000 (these are divided by winning postcodes, not per ticket). The odds of winning a £10 or £20 draw are 1 in 270, far greater than those for a £30,000 draw (1 in 135,000).
How to cancel postcode lottery subscription
There are only two ways to cancel a subscription to the people’s postcode lottery. The first is to just cancel your Direct Debit with your bank- we have a post dedicated to doing just that, check it out here!
The second method is just to call them up. You can ring their customer service team on the freephone number 0808 109 8765.
Will I still be charged for the next draw?
Unfortunately, if you have already paid for the next draw you won’t be refunded for it- so make sure you cancel your subscription ASAP!
